June 2025 update* I ordered this sandwich a couple of years ago and just tried it again last week. Okay, so when we first had it, they weren't sure if the mayo was #vegan and now they for sure have a vegan mayo option and even a #spicy vegan mayo option. It makes this sandwich so much better. The presentation also has greatly improved! Look how pretty! This vegetable Bahn Mi comes with pickled carrot, daikon, cilantro, and vegan ham slices. This is my first time trying Pho at 6-1-Pho, surprisingly. It was pretty good. The broth was salty and made for a great comfort food. Their prices did go up so this was around $14, which is still a great price and value. They absolutely load this bowl with marinated #tofu so it's very filling and high in protein. You can choose your bowl 🥣 ingredients so we got cilantro, basil, and jalapeños. It had a lot of flavor and honestly next time I'm under the weather I'm going to get this. This would be so comforting in the winter for sore throats. 6-1-Pho has the BEST marinated #tofu by far. It's mostly sweet but also a little tangy from vinegar. It is fantastic and they absolutely load your bowl with it. The serving sizes in general are very large and affordable at around $13. I got the BYO and added vermicelli noodles, cilantro, basil, carrots, daikon, cucumbers and a few jalapeños. It comes with a sweet soy sauce that is absolutely delicious. Not my best photo, for sure but this was something really fun to try. 6-1-Pho is obviously known for Pho. For the summer months they've introduced the Pho-Ritto, which consists of all the #pho ingredients wrapped into a burrito. It even comes with a side or pho broth for dipping. We stuffed out burrito with rice noodles, #tofu, cilantro, Basil, jalapeño, carrot and rice noodles. It was super messy and hard to eat but it was really good. It's definitely something different and fun to try. It comes with your choice of a #vegan $spicy mayo or peanut sauce. We got the peanut sauce for this. It was super thick and creamy. Summer Rolls are back for the warmer months! I love the summer rolls at 6-1-Pho! They're so fresh tasting and they're kept in the fridge so they're perfect for hot days. These rice paper rolls are filled with cold rice noodles, cilantro, dikon, carrot, and strips of tofu. The #tofu is a bit different, too. The texture is really firm and has almost a soy heart texture. They come 4 in a pack for $8. They have peanut dipping sauce or even a #vegan spicy mayo. These are the perfect addition to your meal and they're only available during the summer! I absolutely love 6-1-Pho (it's a funny play on words as Columbus' area code is 614). Cold noodles and or rice bowls really sounded great after the #AAPI Festival celebration. It was boiling outside. 🔥I love how many options this restaurant has. They specialize in Veitnamese street food and pho. They also have delicious rice bowls. I chose the white sticky rice this time and it was a perfect choice. This bowl was the show stopper of the meal! This large noodle salad bowl is pretty customizable as well. The base is all #vegan and you have the option to choose your #protein so #Tofu for the win!💪🏻 It comes with cold vermicelli noodles (thin ricer noodles), fresh lettuce, mint leaves, large slices of cucumber, pickled carrot shavings, daikon and crushed peanuts. It also comes with a side of sweet dressing. It also had a very generous serving of marinated tofu. I loved all the beautiful colors and fresh veggies. Aesthetically, this bowl was really pleasing to the eye and camera! Haha, I think the people sitting behind me were laughing about my photoshoot. 📸 I really loved the different combinations of textures from the noodles to the tofu and the fresh pickled veggies, which gave it a nice kick. I opted for no jalapeño 🔥🧯 This was, overall, such a great dining experience. Located in Clintonville, 6-1-Pho 🍜 specializes in freshly made Vietnamese street food. This really is a hidden gem for vegans in Columbus. They don't promote themselves super well as having a lot of vegan options or catering to vegans, but almost everything on their menu can be made vegan! 🌿 The staff is also super knowledgeable and kind. We ordered a side of the vegetarian 'egg' rolls that they actually can make #vegan A serving comes with 3 rolls for $7.75 They do acknowledge a price increase on their menu as food prices have gone up around the world since covid. These rolls had #Tofu, mushrooms, 🍄 fresh cabbage, carrots,🥕 taro, and onion and then are deep fried, so they were bit on the oily side. Again, make sure to clarify vegan! The eggless wrapper was a bit dry, but the rolls had a lot of flavor inside. I really like taro, which isn't something many vegan friendly places have in Columbus! They also come with a side of #sweet dipping sauce. This was my first time at 6-1- Pho! ( Our telephone area code is 614. Clever pun!) Located in Clintonville, this location is charming! When you first walk in, it smells of a fresh floral basil. 🍃We went in the evening, so they giant lights were dimly lit, setting a really nice mood. The walls and seating are a pleasant lime green and it's a great atmosphere. They also have a really nice little patio, where I chose to dine. This Vegetable Bahn Mi was great. Everything on their menu can be made #vegan from their rice bowls, noodle bowls, Pho, and even their sandwich. The Bahn Mi had vegan #soy ham, pickled carrots,🥕 daikon, large slices of cucumber, #spicy jalapeñoes, fresh cilantro, and sriracha. The pickled carrots were really nice with the cilantro and paired nicely with the soy faux meat. Make sure you clarify that you want the 🥪 sandwich vegan, not vegetarian, so they use the right sauce. The colors of the fresh veggies were beautiful. I will say the only real negative was the price in comparison to some of my favorite restaurants in Clintonville. This was $14, but it was a large serving, and the veggies were fresh.
