Being stuck at home all week with Covid has forced me to rest and eat

even better than I do normally. I also have a chance to let my arm rest.
Since I was not going to cook, I ordered my meals from only 2 places this week.
One of them was from @theplantfood.co
The dish featured here is the Classic Valmon Bowl. The ‘salmon’ is made with konjac and marinated.
I must say that it was pretty convincing in taste and texture.
The dish was pretty good overall.
But what I want to highlight is the flexibility and friendliness I encountered.
I mistakenly thought Friday was the 25th. So I ordered several dishes from them. As the time for delivery came and went, I still waited a bit.
I eventually contacted them and asked if my food was on it’s way. Only to be kindly informed that delivery was for Sat 25th.
I apologised for my mistake and said not to worry then.
They very kindly offered to adjust the date & send my order that afternoon. Friday the 24th.
To which I replied that I would be most grateful but only if it wasn’t too much hassle.
Lo and behold l, my food arrived.
It does not take much to be kind. And it makes everything for everyone so much better.
So I want to thank @plantfood.co for your friendliness, kindness & patience. It is much appreciated and you definitely have a big supporter. Will be ordering more, for sure.

I enjoyed this salad with a nice blend of ingredients and brown rice. Tasted very

fresh and lightly flavoured. Definitely a healthy eat.


Absolutely DELICIOUS. Hearty and healthy to boot - this is just such a gorgeous bowl

of joy! The valmon (made of konjac) is beautifully, fragrantly seasoned so it actually tastes like the sea, with a pleasing texture genuinely reminiscent of sashimi. The serving size is beyond generous - I found myself digging in and wondering, fairly often, how I had barely made a dent in the bowl! Packed with goodness like avocado, corn, edamame, carrots, cherry tomatoes and wakame.

I actually prefer this to the spicy tuna version, which proved too spicy for me in the end. This was the perfect non-spicy alternative. HIGHLY recommended!!

😙 Great mix of different vegetables and textures and natural tastes in a single bowl. The valmon is topped with (I believe) a mix of sesame oil and soy sauce/ aminos. I personally prefer the Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl for the slight spicy tingle. But i guess it is mood dependent too! Good to have options 🤗
