Found this at the Everyday Vegan Grocer and thought I’d give it a shot without really expecting too much. Was pleasantly surprised by how flavourful this spread was. A (thick) layer on warm sourdough toast with hot coffee = bliss.
Not too bad, a generous portion, but I miss some of the “wok hei” smokiness that makes this dish so iconic.
Rich, moist, and so full of the dark chocolate flavour that I crave ever so often. The frosting is light and creamy, the cake moist and dark... a birthday essential and house favourite.
