These bao packed so much flavor! They have pickled cucumbers, dill, sesame, red onions, miso soy glaze, and crushed peanuts. The mushrooms were high quality and had a good meat texture. They had a delicious and slightly sweet miso soup glaze on them. I also loved the crunch from the peanuts. The cucumber, onions, and dill lifted it up with some lighter flavors, making it all really well balanced. This roll is a much more traditional roll compared to the other two. It has "tuna," "salmon," marinated carrots, cucumber, avocado, pickled red cabbage, dill, hijiki, lemon zest, and smoked pepper sauce. This one was the least flavorful for me. I did really enjoy the dollop of smoked pepper sauce on top, and the dill added a nice fresh flavor. Other than that the rest felt a little bland compared to the other two rolls. The fish wasn't very fishy, which I'm definitely very happy about because that's not really a flavor I want a lot of. It's definitely a very beautiful roll. This was my favorite roll of the day! This specialty roll is made up of smoked oyster mushrooms, avocado, cilantro, charred eggplant unagi, seaweed roe, and ponzu glaze. The mushrooms were cooked perfectly and the hint of smokiness really complimented the umami. The ponzu glaze really brought it all together and was so flavorful! I just love something sticky and slightly sweet with my sushi. I love when people get creative with vegan sushi, and that's all they do at Beyond Sushi! This roll has jackfruit crab, cucumber, charred avocado, and black truffle caviar. I've never had a charred piece of avocado before, but I really like what it added to this roll! The jackfruit crab wasn't really spicy, but I did like the flavor. It was creamy and not too fishy.
