This has a lot of FLAVOR! It hits you at the back of your nose.

It reminds me of a very creamy mild blue cheese but there is a little goatiness to it too. This is sunflower seed based and has really simple ingredients (including probiotics!) I tried this with jam and definitely think it is better suited as a strictly savory dish. I will definitely buy this again! #abillionlove #ditchdairy

Iā€™ve never had goat cheese before, so I canā€™t compare, but I grew up on

goat milk and can say that ļæ¼this certainly has a flavor thatā€™s identical to what I remember.ļæ¼ļæ¼. Their website has some unique recipes that I definitely want to try out next time, but for this one, I finished it too quick using it as a spread on crackers and as a topping in my salads.ļæ¼This is mainly made from sunflower seeds, which means that way less water was used to make this then nuts. As an added bonus, thereā€™s probiotics in this.ļæ¼

one of 3 cheeses i tested for #NationalCheeseDay, this has a strong flavor which doesn't

appeal much to me personally, but it is nutritious due to the sunflower seed base: a 38 grams serving has 5 grams protein, 2 grams fiber, 40% DV Vitamin E, 20% Magnesium, Manganese & Thiamin, 15% B6 & Selenium, 10% Niacin.

Delicious goat cheese alternative. Very smooth and has a nice, subtle fermented zing to it.

Very simple ingredients, too! #probiotic

I thought I knew what to expect from The Goat, but I was still unprepared

for just how goat-y the sunflower-seed-based cheese would be. The first thing I noticed upon opening the container was the very sharp and pungent smell, which closely mimics the real thing (or at least my memory of it!)
Unfortunately, Iā€™m not much of a cheese lover, so this was too strong for me. I tried placing little dabs of it in salad and spreading it over toast; it was definitely better warmed up but overall a bit too funky. There was also a minor aftertaste that I was sensitive to. I want to emphasize that the cheese is not at fault here! ā€” Iā€™m sure a more worldly vegan would enjoy its flavors, and itā€™s always exciting to see truly innovative products like those coming from Spero.
