The Ka Pow OmniMeat with Black Olive Fried Rice cost $13.90. This was an impressively yummy take on the classic Thai comfort food! The black olive fried rice was fragrant and savoury, with bits of fried tofu and chewy mushrooms. It was served with OmniMeat mince stir-fried with aromatic basil leaves, cut chilli, and long beans. The fried egg can be omitted to make this dish vegan-friendly. My favourite from the Bangkok Jam Green Monday menu! P.S. The Plaza Singapura branch uses Alchemy Fibre in the rice, a nutritious powder blend which slows down digestion of carbohydrates - great for those watching their weight or managing diabetes.

I ordered this dish without egg as that’s what was stated on the menu for the vegan option. However the staff member was so confused and said he doesn’t think removing egg is possible! They had to send over another waiter to try to understand my very simple order. He too was so confused lol. Really disappointed by the service. Food tasted not bad though. I like the wok hei flavour in the rice and the spice of the omnimeat. Could be less oily and salty but that’s just my personal preference.
