This was a very happy accident 😋 I love their #kolok everything, so pair that with their amazing #wantan and you’ve got such a treat! 🙌 You’ve also got all the same toppings their #meekolok and #kampuamee have — juicy #sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease #beancurd over everything! 🤤 This was RM8.20 on #grabfood but I’m betting it’s RM4.50 in-store ✌️

Wow, I can't believe this kampua is vegan! The texture is actually more like kolo mee but I followed the others recommendation. Price-wise very good also only RM4 but my friends still want to order the expensive one because it has meat.

I think this dish is typically called #cantonese #kwayteow but I suppose “Guang Dong” is pretty indicative too 😅 You can’t order this on Grab #eggfree but luckily we were dining in-person so we could ask them to #droptheegg 🐣 You seriously cannot go wrong with anything at Sheng Kang 😋 Literally everything here is amazing! The #wokhei on the #kuehteow was just phenomenal 🤤 Though you don’t get much in the way of #fakemeat you still find small bits here and there plus plenty of vegetables! This was only RM4 by the way 🤩 Find me #kuayteow this #cheapandgood anywhere else 😘

In case #wonton in your #laksa doesn’t tickle your fancy, this plain #veganlaksa is also on the menu ✌️ In terms of #protein you get their standard affair of #beancurd plus plenty #taugeh 😋 Come hungry though because they give so much #beehoon 😵 All for RM6! This is so much better in-store 🙌 Just like I knew it would be 😋 The #wantan being freshly made and the #laksa still warm with the #beehoon soaking up all that #spicy 🤤 The #beancurd is nice and crispy still on top too! Plus you get #lime and some additional #sambal to throw in 🍋‍🟩 The portion was much more generous than usual today! — #eidmubarak by the way 🤗 because we came close to their closing time so they were trying to finish their stock ⌛️ Come with a Stojo or another #reusablecontainer if you do!

The humble #laksa, finally rendered arrogant by means of inclusion of #wonton 🥟 I guess it would be cocky to add that this was delightful—to a community of vegans that haven’t the chance of trying to 😛 Their #veganlaksa is already very simply, perfect 👌 It’s #sarawak laksa at that so you’re to expect a little #prawn aftertaste, courtesy of their soy-based #belacan 🦐 On top of the #wantan you’ll find the same crispy #beancurd they top all their dishes with for a kick of #savoury 😋 Also, while it’s suspended in the #curry / #broth when you have this for #takeout you’ll be happy to know the lime doesn’t really seep into it until pressed 🍋 Don’t be surprised though to see this served in plastic bags if this is your first time ordering a soupy dish from a #hawkerfood stall in Malaysia! 😄 RM11 for a bowl may sound steep but c’mon where else can you get this?? 😋 #bestpicks #laksafiend #guiltfreelaksa #veganinkuching #bestpicks #malaysianeats

I must’ve been particularly possessed to order #economyrice instead of one of their mains like #meekolok or #kampuamee 🙈 I usually restrict such orders to only their sides! -and I have 😋 Their #tofu is pretty good & pretty cheap. Good source for protein where their mains may be lacking ✌️ I’m spoiled tor choice when it comes to #mixedveg rice in Singapore & Penang so this was just alright. Really affordable though & great for your #alliumfree buddies too 😇

Confession? I had my first #kuehteow #kolok when I went vegan 🙈 Almost every #meekolok in Kuching has egg so I thought I was out of options! This stall is an outlier in that they do have #eggfree kolok mee, but sometimes #abillionhacks brings us strange places 🤭 It’s the same #beancurd toppings & what not as their other dishes but with #kuayteow instead! Still amazing as always though 😋

I didn’t even have time to replate this #tapao properly 🙀 Luckily with #kuehteow this good I don’t need to rely on looks to get my appetite going 🤭 This didn’t have any #protein as far as I can tell, not even a strip of #beancurd as is at least present in their #meekolok offerings. In terms of content it was pretty sparse too! Some #taugeh, cabbage 🥬, and strips of carrot 🥕 at most. In spite of that, this was super hearty and I slurped the whole thing down in a heartbeat 😋

Finally had this again in-shop 😋 Their #guotie is so damn thicc! 🫃 It’s way more skin than I would usually want in a #dumpling but it’s also just around this time of year I think of past years travels and wish I could be snacking on a #pelmeni 🥟 I don’t know what filling these use. It’s nice to try the same dishes again after some time to give them a new perspective 😇 Did you know you can review the same dish more than once on abillion after a few months? Well what just occured to me is that you can actually order this #meepok with or without the #soysauce, just as you do with the #kampuamee 🍜 I prefer the “black” version of these #meekolok dishes, which @m1tch9i dubs is due to my “Malay taste buds” but it is what it is 😋 Same deal as their other #noodles for the toppings - amazing #fritters 🤤 Tell me @stevenneoh, did you manage to get your fix of Kuching’s best vegan #kolomee while you were here?
