Economy Rice

I must’ve been particularly possessed to order #economyrice instead of one of their mains like #meekolok or #kampuamee 🙈 I usually restrict such orders to only their sides! -and I have 😋 Their #tofu is pretty good & pretty cheap. Good source for protein where their mains may be lacking ✌️ I’m spoiled tor choice when it comes to #mixedveg rice in Singapore & Penang so this was just alright. Really affordable though & great for your #alliumfree buddies too 😇

Are you kidding me with this stall? They’re killin’ their #rice game too 🔥 and with something still as humble as #economyrice 😋 Imagine my surprise when I asked the lady which options were #veganfriendly and she said ALL 😳🥹 HALLELOO 🙌 Thank you! A comforting and properly soft white rice surrounded by the most #homecooked parade of sides. There was a slightly bland mixed veggie but I appreciated it for its inclusion of black fungus 😜 There was also the Chinese meat roll which was interestingly sweet for something I wanted more salty. It was still super tasty though👌Naturally, my third choice was the clearly delicious deep-fried i don’t know what. It was maybe mushroom but mostly a magnificently crunchy batter 🤪 #sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease 🔥 My sister happened to grab 2/3 of the same sides as me BUT the 1 alternate was an interestingly aromatic deep-fried root vegetable of some kind with peanuts 😋 all sooo good 👍 I think mine was about RM 5 but it’s pretty cheap because I always ask for half the usual rice portion. Always. This stall. Just come here for everything. 🔥🙌
