It’s just your luck that I took just one terrible photo of this in its #takeout packaging before chowing the whole thing down 😉 If you want a better photo, check out @m1tch9i’s review of it in-store 👉 https://www.abillion.com/reviews/6207c85c39d5b8008b791dc6 The #wanton #wonton 🤭 oh the way that makes me giggle.. kudos to @veganadam for that earworm! 🥟 is delicious! Way better than their ala-carte dumplings for whatever reason! It’s basically just that on top of their regular #meekolok 🍜 Remember when dining here that you’ll have to specify which noodle option you’d like; the one with egg 🤮 or the one without 🌈🌻🌞 My sister was amazed by how on point their egg-free noodles was in terms of texture, and really the trick there is that they use alkaline water when making the noodles to nail the texture just right 🧪 Food science ftw! 🧑🔬 This #deathbyplastic packaging is starting to irk me and I feel like I can #dobetter 😔 Here’s hoping my recent investment in a couple #stasher products helps me build a habit of bringing a takeout container when tapau-ing in-store 🤞
I’ve heard tell about this vegetarian stall… 🧐🤓 All I ever knew was that my vegan partner-in-crime deemed their dish the best meat-free Kolok Mee in town. And to that effect @dafnelately has maintained her streak of being indisputably right. 😏😂 It was nice not having too much vegetable toppings. I love eating my greens but honestly… When it comes to eating a noodle dish, I’m not looking to eat so much veggies. The goal would be to have a good share of noodles with just enough protein toppings instead of vegetables. To which, they not only delivered but surpassed expectations. It’s impressive how well both the flavour and texture of the mushrooms and fried bean curd return a very similar satisfaction to something like pork mince. Noodles were cooked and seasoned to perfection (at least for the dark sauce based Kolok Mees) But ultimately, the reason I’d highly recommend checking out this stall is because of how I was immensely blown away by the Wantan. Whatever meat replacement they’re using should be dispersed to the masses! ✈️ At least for these specific type of dumplings. Truly amazing! I had to ask my friend twice if it was actually meat or not. 🤣🌿🍖 And after all that… This one bowl of Wantan Mee cost RM5 🤑 Now THAT is a steal! Everyone should be eating there now! P.S. Upon bringing a pack of this while I flying to visit a friend, we noticed how well the noodles hold up. A great tip off was how the noodles weren’t very clumped together as most would after sitting in its bag for a while. Basically, it’s good to know it travels well too! 🍜🥡
