I've never really had assam laksa from the places at #fortunecentre, but I did quite like the one from another place. This version came with a lot of mint leaves, so if you like those then you might enjoy this dish. I kind of wish this dish came with more vegetables that were not mint leaves, but since this is relatively cheap I guess it is understandable. I do appreciate that a #vegan version of this seafood-based dish exists because I'm not a fan of seafood, but I feel there are better renditions of this dish elsewhere.

Technically, their mala is Nyonya mala, so I'm not sure how that is supposed to taste compared to normal mala. This was also my first time trying mala, so I can't be a good judge of the dish. I liked that it was super affordable for a mala dish, and I liked that instant noodles were included. Honestly, I didn't really like the dish as a whole (I guess mala is just not for me), but I did enjoy some of the ingredients when I was not dying from the spice and numbing sensation, like the potatoes. Probably not an authentic #peranakan dish by any means, but perhaps a unique one. #vegan

i used to come Vege Pot q a bit, but hadnt in a really long while, and am really sad that this was quite a let-down :( the dumplings for this dish used to be soup dumplings--which i prefer, esp caus these fried ones were overly fried for my liking 😥 ingredients for the filling were nicer & more substantial previously too that said objectively it's still okay overall! i probably just had high expectations bc of what i recall from past memories of their good food haha soft & slightly chewy texture of the ramen noodles was there :")

Yes, this is indeed a bizarre dish, and that is literally the name of the dish on the delivery application. I would have definitely preferred boiled dumplings in soup, but it is what it is. At least the serving of dumplings was generous, to the point where the bowl was filled to the brim with dumplings and vegetables.

I really loved this. The textures in the dish were so nice, with crunchy and sticky and soft bits. The seaweed and preserved radish and mock fish added those nice salty flavours. It is best eaten as a sharing dish because it is quite salty and heavy in flavour but I ate it by myself as a meal and enjoyed it anyway.

The potatoes, which were technically just a side dish with the rest of the vegetables, tasted really good. The meat was their usual mock meat mimicking pork belly that can be found in some of the other dishes, but it was fried and coated with some sauce that made it more tasty.

Wow wow wow i so love this! Its fried lion mane, long beans,potatoes n tofu. The rendang gravy is poured on top. I ordered an additional serving of tempeh as well. The rice is cooked with lemongrass n ginger,so flavourful.It’s like the rice in nasi lemak minus the coconut milk. Served with a side generous dallop of those pickled vegetables. Traditionally, the malays or indonesians wld probably not like tht the rendang gravy is just poured on top. the authentic style wld hv to be cooked together with the dish so it cld absorb all the flavour. But i guess it is more practical wen ure running a business,especially so with their price range. Ok perhaps not entirely healthy too cos the ingredients are fried n then the gravy is plopped on top. Very filling so it fills me up for a loooong day of classes. One of my favourite dish from their revamped menu!

It’s a new thing on their menu. Brinjal cooked in black sauce but with loads of thai basil. Thr’s tofu,black fungus,cabbage,carrots. I ordered extra tempeh to go along with it as well,and with chilli padi cos im just a spicy food freak. This place is always one of my favourite places to go to. Do bring yr own cutleries for if u dont want to use those plastic ones. Since Covid happen they switched to plastic cutleries.

When was the last time I enjoyed curry veggies this much. Fragrant. Just nice amount of spiciness. And generous portion of veggies and tofu.. there’s also mock beancurd fish and mock chix. Belly happy.. without burning a hole in my pocket or still feeling hungry after meal. Perfecto.. 🌱🤍

Super love this.. hmm.. was feeling lazy and mouth is itchy.. ate this straight from the fridge. Super cold and refreshing. Love it.. the satay sauce is a lil salty a lil spicy and rather nutty.. like it so so much. Do support Vege Pot. They have really affordable and delicious vegan yums.

I think their old version of this dish was better, with the nice soup with veggies and noodles with better texture. This wasn't bad by any means, but I would rather have other dishes from here.

Very generous portion for the price tag of $6. Picked the spicy version.. though not spicy the veggies are fresh and yummy.. 🌱 FYI. Image is taken after I ate much of it.
