The vegetables balls tasted wholesome and you can taste the sweetness of beetroot. The balls have good bite and texture. Tomato sauce is made from real tomatoes with light sour piquant taste. A very good tomato based spaghetti made of real ingredients.
Tomato sauce pasta with beetroot and chickpea balls. The vegetable balls were somewhat underwhelming as they fell apart easily and were not very flavourful (i.e. like clumps of shredded beetroot). I was expecting flavours and texture similar to falafel / Ikea vegetable balls. The pasta itself was nice though, and I appreciated the focus on whole foods. Contained alliums. ($14.80)
The tomato sauce is very fresh tasting and combined with the veggie balls, great comfort food :)
I love these vegetable balls that are handmade and tasty! If you don't like beet and its taste this dish might not be for you, however. The beet earthy taste is quite strong here as I don't think they really caramelised it much. The tomato sauce is also flavourful! I do miss Real Food food and how they make it tastes delicious yet is healthy and wholesome.
Gahh! The balls should have beetroot in them but they ran out of it. Bite into them and your tastebuds will encounter barley, lentils and quinoa bits. Crunchy. The pasta sauce was homemade and the tomato wasn't overpowering. Special shoutout to the restaurant design as you have the full view of the park while you enjoy your food. If you need a reason to come to Yishun, this is it.
