Shiitake Maki

Chewy, umami, and smoky grilled shiitake mushrooms, topped with a dollop of vegan mayonnaise! The rice rolls also came with cold crunchy cucumber and creamy avocado. One of the favourites on the table and everyone enjoyed this. The shiitake was grilled till slightly charred and adds a good flavor to the maki. Super good with the pickled ginger.

Shiitake Maki ($15) - This was nice though I like the Unagi Maki slightly more. The shiitake mushroom is the star of the show for this dish.

The shiitake gave this maki a different texture from the unagi one - given I prefer less processed food, this one had an edge over the unagi for me! #veganisnotscary #singapore #sushi
