Quick, healthy snack or meal. Ate a few peas right out of the can, also
tried them as a pasta topping. Parsley and lemon comes through. My dog’s name is Franklin. #veganuary #traderjoes #chickpeas #dogsofabv

with couscous. The flavor is great and they are in a seasoned oil that is great to throw in some greens for an instant protein packed salad!
Also good to eat straight from the can!
How would you eat these?
so I personally enjoyed eating it with a little rice and some veggies on the side, but I could definitely see this working beautifully if you threw it in a salad! Definitely adding this to the list of Trader Joe’s products I get every time.
buying a cheaper can of chickpeas and seasoning them yourself. However, I saw a video about a super quick Mediterranean-inspired mashed chickpea sandwich using these and I just thought I'd try it out. I've actually never tried a mashed chickpea sandwich before even though they're so popular.
This can of chickpeas comes already seasoned and in a flavorful marinade. They're quite high in sodium at about 30% of your daily recommended intake (a regular can of chickpeas from TJ's is only at 6%). These are flavorful so it does make sense! These made a really delicious Mediterranean-inspired smashed chickpea sandwich. All you do is add the contents of this can to a bowl with about 4 dolmas, a big spoonful of hummus, and a sprinkle of vegan feta to taste. After mashing, add the mixture between two slices of bread and cook it on the stove top in a little olive oil to get a nice crispy sandwich!
Here's the original video I got the recipe from. This creator has a lot of fun "lazy Trader Joe's meals" on his page. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPRcCDs9N/

didn’t think i needed to spend time making a dressing because this little can packs a good amount of flavor and oil.
i chopped tri-color bell peppers, cucumber, tomatoes, avocado, cilantro, poured in my chickpeas, and mixed in some white quinoa. this is gonna be lunch for the next 3 days but i did end up with leftovers.
i think the chickpeas have a great texture. they don’t feel undercooked or mushy and they have a wonderful flavor. and it made my salad not be dry and boring 🤗
