Good food is the foundation of happiness.
Very good assam laksa broth. Thick, tangy and spicy. The rice noodles were a little different from regular laksa beehoon. A little more chewy, maybe with a blend of tapioca or sweet potato flour. Very nice. Not much protein though, only minimal soy fish. Had some pineapples, red chillies and lettuce in it. Overall tasty.
Spicy, sweet, savoury, and sour broth filled with rice noodles, small pieces of fried soy 'fish', pineapple, shredded cucumber, and lettuce. Would have liked some soy 'mackerel flakes' too! Nice herbs and spices including torch ginger flower. Quite tangy and appetising. Holiday special, not part of the regular menu! (Allium-free, $5.50) #sgvegan
Good taste and lovely use of herbs, cucumber slices and fresh vegetables. Sour and spicy but not over powering. Rice noodles is slippery and soft. $4.50 per bowl.
The rice noodles used is more chewy compared to the usual ones that I ate for Assam Laksa, love it! It has a bold and strong smell, tastes spicy yet light with a hint of sourness.
Can i just say, this is by far d most perfect assam laksa vegan version that I've eaten.. Im a big fan of the sour spicy kind of laksa, and this is so so good. Spicy, sour, semi thick, lots of those cucumber n salad n pineapple n chopped mint leaves. And they have that magical ingredient-Torch Ginger which they chopped really thinly and placed a whole spoonful of it. It really made this dish special with it's flavour. Many places don't get the taste or consistency or sour or d spicy right, but this one, hits them all with the right balance. And this is not on their main menu, I happened to see it from another person's order so i felt i hit the jackpot today. Only sold on Sundays n Mondays. Assam laksa is usually served with fish/sardines so they substitute it with those tofu fishcake. I would so have this dish again n again.
