Disclaimer: I’ve not tried the traditional Japanese tsukemen so I’m not sure how authentic this is but this vegan tsukemen was yummy! The ramen noodles were chewy and springy (you can choose between normal and soft) and the dipping soup had a deep and delicious flavour. The vegan unagi was also tasty, and they nailed the texture perfectly. All in all, a really hearty meal in my opinion! #veganramen #tsukemen #veganisnotscary #veganunagi
it is a dipping noodle in soup dish! the 'soup' is very thick and it feels very heavy by itself but perfect as a dipping side. there is a lot of cabbage in the soup and its good to have a crunchy texture with the noodles. they also give a bottle of mushroom soup to dilute the dipping and it tastes great to end the dish!
Grateful for inclusive restaurants like Tonichi Tsukemen that cater to those on a plant-based diet. This increases the dining options for vegetarians and allows them to socialize with their non-vegetarian friends over a nice meal. The al dente ramen went very well with the rich, savoury broth that had mushrooms, cabbage and bamboo shoots in it among others. The generous slice of plant-based Unagi was delicious too and complemented the ramen well. Good value at S$15.50! 👍🏼 #ramen #tsukemen #unagi #inclusive
Amazingly thick and indulgent broth! The ramen noodles are super chewy and yummy. 10/10 experience.
Knowing I am no fan of mock fish I still chose to order this cos I am keen to try something new. Didn’t like the unagi cos it’s too fishy for me. Just not for my taste palate but am certain many will fancy this. Do take note I was served with a piece of fish cake like thingy that’s not vegan.
