tuna taste very close to the real one.
tasty and affordable! #vegan

Kickstarting the 90/90 challenge with this giant colourful fish-free poke bowl! I don’t fancy konjac

jelly “sashimi” because the texture is nothing like the real deal that melts in your mouth. But I don’t mind it prepared in this way with spicy mayo (which wasn’t spicy at all) and mixed with the rice and veggies. Every bite was so creamy and loaded with yum!

I've been wanting to try the poke bowls at The Plant Food for ages and

YUM. This is excellent. Super generous servings of plenty of healthy vegetables - purple cabbage, carrots, edamame, corn, avocado, cherry tomatoes, wakame, and all topped off with some really decent vegan konjac tuna poke in spicy sauce that sneaks up on you. So good!

Lots of seafood umami flavours with spicy vegan konjac tuna, seasoned seaweed, and nori! Filled

with assorted vegetables including corn and avocado. There's also a watermelon tuna version of the dish for those who prefer whole foods. ($13.90)

🍲 One of the few dishes that I can't seen to put 4 stars on,

resulting in a... 5 star dish! I never tried poke bowl before I was vegan because I can't stand the fishy smell (even sitting in the restaurant is... a pain for me). So I'm really happy to be able to try this. Good mix of raw and roasted veg, creamy avocado. The spicy mayo on top of the konnyaku cubes has a really nice flavour and works with every other elements in the bowl. Dont forget the brown rice layering the bottom~ 😍

So glad to see Plant Food (previously known as Soul Alife) back selling their mains!!!

They’re now at Thomson, a min away from Wellsmoocht. Their tuna poke bowl was absolutely glorious - packed full of veggies, protein, and creamy, umami “tuna” (konjac jelly). The tuna was legit! Will definitely be back to try their other mains :’)

Ehh... I thought this was just so-so. The "tuna" was nicely seasoned poke bowl style,

though the depth of flavour was not quite there. I do like the nori strips for that umami. Everything else in the bowl was just alright. Nothing to shout about. Would have been nicer if they had fresher ingredients. The edamame for one was completely bland! This cost $13.90. Probably would not order it again. I still prefer their Buddha Bowl!

Look at this beauty 😍 and tastes every bit as good as it looks too.

All of the veggies were very fresh, and the sauce on the spicy ‘tuna’ was exactly like how I remember them to be. Generous portion and great presentation. It was $12+ if I remember correctly, but I’ve paid much more for less amount and quality and would pay for this again any day.
