I love finding naturally vegan gems like this! Chilled, spicy and slurpy, this dish hit
all the spots — thanks @jashment for ordering 😋 p.s. I do not recommend wearing a white shirt while eating this 👀

and these might be it! I was so surprised by all the fresh toppings that the folks at Old Chengdu put on all the vegetarian dishes. It makes for a really beautiful dish that’s also absolutely delicious.
For those of us that haven’t tried cold bean jelly noodles, they come in all shapes and sizes and usually they’re really messy to eat because the noodles are pretty “fragile” and fall apart. Overall these noodles were slightly stronger than the ones they use at Si Wei Mao Cai on Mosque Street, so I’d definitely recommend these more!
Check out Old Chengdu if you haven’t been. I’ve been really blown away by the vegan options! Just be sure to tell them to make everything vegetarian!
v nice, I can't say for sure how it compares to the one at #siweimaocai but look at the chilli oil! It is to die for. A very large portion too so it's good for sharing. #animalplace #sichuan #spicy #sgeats #mala #chinatown
slice of something something 🤷🏽♀️ It was slightly numbing but also chewy and is defo an experience. Would recommend any of the stuff I had here tbh!

more if it was in some other sauce!
(Disclaimer: Not really in a position to review spicy food, given my bias for non-spicy food, but am still doing so anyway 😂)
didn't come chilled. Just room temperature. The peanuts were yummy. And it wasn't that spicy despite how oily red it looked! The sauce was actually a little sweet.
spice without getting too numbed.
