🍋My first time seeing lemon as a main part of a pasta dish! So I

had to try! The tanginess from pasta sauces tend to come from tomatoes or vinegar. But lemon has a.. refreshing twist to it. Goes well with the creaminess of the sauce. Which is great~ especially for this relatively warm humid weather.

🍊The only thing I thought was... The marination of the tempeh could have considered a sweet fruit rather than maple syrup. So it goes with the lemon better. But to be honest, I still would have it again as it is!

the al dente linguine strands! 🍝🍋 Absolutely LOVED how this tasted bright, tangy, and zesty, not heavy like most cream pasta. Served alongside marinated tempeh cubes that were simultaneously sweet and umami, juicy sauteed shimeji mushrooms, charred grilled broccoli, housemade cashew parmesan, and chilli flakes. 🍄🥦🧀🌶️ Easily the tastiest dish I've ever eaten at Lilac Oak, and packed with plant protein to boot. 🌱💪 This was a limited time special (19th-21st Apr 2024 one-weekend only), but I hope this can become part of the regular menu so more people can enjoy it ahaha.
