I’ve never had callos before (any version of it) and I’m so glad this was my first experience! A generous amount of chickpeas in a thick, hearty almond-based stew spiced with either nutmeg and/or mace. The oyster mushrooms strongly resembled pieces of slow-cooked beef- I just wish there were more than two of them in there! This has inspired me to try and recreate this for my family back home in Australia.
We’re on a vacation in Spain 🇪🇸😄 Went to Malaga yesterday, found this cute little all vegetarian restaurant with a lot of vegan options! This is what @brentvda ate, he did not like it very much. He said it was pretty flavourless. This was the only #soyfree and vegan main dish so 🫤 #soup I’m still astonished how cheap everything is in comparison to Belgium tho 😃 This was €5.25 + the breadsticks was another €1 I think. Asked for bread but they were out and asked if this was good. It’s a good restaurant! Just wouldn’t recommend this dish. 🍲 #veganinspain
No tengo recuerdos de los callos, no recuerdo probarlos y recuerdo que cuando me ofrecían nunca quería. Me producían mucho rechazo. Éstos están muy ricos, por lo que me han dicho el potaje recuerda (aunque lo podrían poner más picante) y las shitake consiguen simular la textura! Es un platazo aunque no se aprecie en la foto.
Son callos veganos porque lo pone en el menú que si no dudaría ya que las setas le da esa textura típica del plato no vegano y las especias utilizadas en ambas recetas son las que le dan ese sabor característico de la receta
Sabroso y completo plato de cuchara de un agradable restaurante malagueño. Formaba parte del menú del día, pero también lo tienen en la carta.
