Kaiserschmarrn - dessert

I'm a chocolate dessert kind of girl, but this had me HOWLING at how good it was!! Kinda in between an apple fritter and a thick pancake, it was super fluffy and chewy, with nice bits of crust and a delicate sweetness that's not overbearing. Just fantastic.

Again, copying @david-, I had to give this classic Bavarian dessert a try! This dish is essentially chopped up fluffy pancakes, with a caramelized sugar coating, raisins, nuts, powdered sugar, and a side of apple sauce. My grandmother gave it a 9/10, which is high praise from someone who grew up here! The pancakes were so fluffy, but kind of crunchy on the outside from the caramelized sugar. It was true #PERFECTION 🤤🤤🤤 #Kaiserschmarren is basically a torn up thick #pancake 🥞 This perfect vegan Kaiserschmarren begins with a fluffy pancake-like batter made from a blend of flour, plant-based milk, and a touch of baking powder. It's cooked until golden brown and then torn into bite-sized pieces. Sweetened with a touch of #maplesyrup, it's flavored with #vanilla and a hint of lemon zest. There were also #raisins inside but you can order without! What made this a standout Kaiserschmarren was the fact that each piece was #caramelized! This made is crunchy outside and fluffy inside. Literally perfect. Served with a dusting of powdered sugar and a dollop of apple compote delightful, indulgent treat. #sweettooth

Questo dessert è spaziale, identico all'originale dolce tipico bavarese. Non si riesce a smettere di mangiarlo. Da provare!

Ich habe schon seit sehr langer Zeit keine Kaiserschmarrn mehr gegessen und die hier haben genauso geschmeckt, wie ich sie in Erinnerung habe. Sehr süß und außen knusprig, dazu ein leckeres Apfelkompott.
