I started my meal with this vegan bao: when you order it they always ask you if you are vegan because on the menu it’s marked as vegetarian, but they veganize it by not adding mayo. It’s filled with fried vegetables and the filling reminded me a lot of Indian bahji. I really liked this dish, it was super tasty and the fried vegetables were crispy and savory.
