I would say this was the best thing that we had on this day 🙂 This #yongtaufoo comes in this #clearsoup option, or with curry for an extra RM2.50. I can't remember if we had to order and pay for rice/noodles separately on the side. So much flavour and variety in the ingredients, we especially enjoyed the stuffed #aubergine and the stuffed #yuba 😋 Also slurped up every last drop of soup 🥰

Decent #greencurry with the #kwayteow thrown in. Could have been a bit thicker, a bit more flavourful, and a bit spicier, but for this price I'm not minded to make too much of a fuss about it. Portion size is modest, with some #tofuskin, #veganfish, #basil, #taugeh, #aubergine, and various condiments sprinkled on top. Does the job! 🙂

For everyone out there who has the good sense to understand that #sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease 😋 #tofuskin #deepfried to a crisp, with a bit of vegetables used in the filling almost as an afterthought 😁 We had this as a side dish and both ordered soupy things which functioned perfectly as dips 😊

I know from having been there in person that this rezza isn't exactly generous on portion sizes, so even though we were getting a lunch set each already, I decided we ought to add an extra 点心 on the side because #bettersafethanhungry 😛 I chose these #deepfried #springrolls because #sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease, and because the missus likes #yam (more than she likes me, I have that on record 🥲) The mushy texture and slightly sweet flavour of the yam actually really helped hold the rest of the item together, beautifully joining the crispness of the pastry skin to the gentler bite of the different root vegetables that were stuffed inside 🙂 Came with the wrong kind of chilli dip; this needs sweet chilli sauce, not chicken rice chilli iykyk 😏

I didn't have too much time to think about what I was ordering. We had to grab at spare moments in between being herded around by overzealous photographers and makeup artists, both for ordering food and for consuming it 😬 In such situations the abillion app is horrible for figuring out which item you've ordered before and which you haven't (and therefore can do a review of #forthedollar); I simply knew I had never had their #nasikunyit previously, and went with it. In fairness, who in their right mind would trust a Chinese 煮炒 place with a Malay classic 😏 These guys rather butchered the #curry, which didn't have enough spice or heft to its body. It was still pleasant if you forgot what it was that you were supposed to be eating, as the light #santan creaminess still combined pretty nicely with the #monkeyheadmushrooms and various root vegetables. But as I say, we didn't have long to enjoy our food anyway 😐

If this lunch looks makeshift, that's because it totally was 😬 We spent the day in a studio doing a photoshoot and the schedule was so packed that you had to work to find small pockets of time in which to do things like eat 😏 This #chickenrice did the trick because it was easy to consume, being dry and not too difficult to wrestle with. But it would be a stretch to call it delicious or particularly inventive. Just the usual #yuba thing playing the role of #veganchicken, a bit of spiced rice, and a load of chilli and dark soy sauce to provide auxiliary flavour. And a single sprig of #evilweed on top 🙄

Firstly, seems like something got #lostintranslation 😅 Since when did #panmee equate to homemade #noodles 😏 Secondly, their choice of noodle was seriously weird - thick #udon for a clear soup dish like this? 🤨 I don't know, I just thought the thin noodle format (or even more extreme options like beehoon or meesua) would have been a better fit 🥺 The broth, for what it's worth, was excellent. Peppery and tasty and up there with the best of them. You get some #mushroom, #spinach leaves, #fakemeat (2 thin cuts 🥲), and the magnum opus/centerpiece - fake #lard crisped up and then souped down 😋 I would've gladly taken a dumpling or two in the noodles though 🙂 RM13.90 so not gonna complain!

This doesn't look remotely as delicious and appetising as it undoubtedly is; take it from me, this is right up there in my #dimsum #bestpicks for KL 💚 The #sweetsauce is thick and not at all ruined by the healthy brigade, and it's exactly what you want in a #cheecheongfun 🤤 The only thing I would say is that they could have given about thrice as many #sesameseeds 😏 Oh, if they offered a version of this which had yong tau foo in it, we would have loved that too 😋

If done right #wintermelon is a brilliant base for a soothing, #sweettooth friendly #beverage. The addition of #luohanguo sounded promising too. Alas, something fell apart in the execution ☹️ I think they added some sort of citrus peel which brought an unwelcome sourness into the mix 😬 But yeah, considering how wonderful everything else is at this place, this does stick out a bit like a sore thumb

Yep, not one but two naughty #deepfried #starters ☺️ Because life is short and #sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease 🤤 This was a more classic plate of #yam balls, with various diced vegetables inside as the filling. The skin was atrociously #crispy although I felt that the inside could've been more flavourful. Served with the dark, viscous #sweetsauce that is ubiquitous at such #dimsum places, as well as the #chillipaste that I tend to associate with Hainanese chicken rice. It didn't work at all, these need sweet chilli sauce or straight-up chilli oil, if you're going in that direction 😬

This is a hidden gem in PJ, their #dimsum and #lunch food options are exceedingly good 🙌 The server encouraged us to try this new (perhaps experimental) item, for which we displaced the siew mai we had originally wanted, and the initial verdict is a strong yes 💪 This takes #glutinousrice and flattens it into a layer that then gets #deepfried, throwing all the glory into how #sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease 🤤 Mind, the filling is pretty good too - #charsiew and some diced vegetables mixed in with #cilipadi and left to exact its #spicy vengeance ☺️ Super #starter and/or #sharing (or #notsharing 😛) plate

This is one for #teamsoy 💪 Southern Chinese cuisine has known how to #ditchdairy for donkey's years. Spare me your wrong opinions, #soymilk is god's greatest gift to humanity. Ever 🥰 In this case it came hand in glove with #cincau, aka #grassjelly which gives your teeth something to play with as you're slurping already I guess 🙂 Decent level of sweetness for the #sweettooth, they definitely added something. Not that I ever complain about that 😁 By the way, talk about #valueformoney!
