It's almost 🏳️‍🌈 #pridemonth so I thought I would share one of my favorite #queerowned businesses! 👠 It's called Mis Tacones (My Heels in Spanish) because Polo cooks #seitan in stilettos. This #familyowned restaurant offers vegan dishes to queer spaces all over Portland. They provide free meals to trans POC. ALL of the food and drinks we tried here were amazing. This empanada has soy chorizo and roasted potatoes topped with garlic cashew crema. This chimichanga was delicious! My favorite chimi ever is still probably the black bean chimichanga from Tijuana Flats in Florida, but this is my second favorite! 🥈It has Asada Seitan, refried pinto beans, melted quesillo, Mexican rice, garlic cashew crema, guacamole, grilled peppers and onions. I wish the asada meat was made from soy or something other than seitan because I'm really sensitive to it and could only have a couple bites. It tasted great though and my husband was very happy to finish it. We visited Mis Tacones a while ago but I remember we liked everything we tried! This was @paniwilson's drink 🥃 It has Pelotón de la Muerte Mezcal, Angostura Bitters and Orange Syrup. Pani loved it! I smelled it and decided it was too strong for me.
