They are really generous with the mock fried #fish and other fried bits in this dish, which I really like. The dish is really flavourful and as someone who doesn't have a high spice tolerance, I like that this dish is manageable and enjoyable for me. As someone who doesn't like real #seafood in general, I am glad that many #vegan versions of this dish exist, and this is definitely one of my favourite renditions of the dish. I appreciate the different #vegetables that come with this dish, although it is still very #sinful and more of an occasional treat.

The signature dish that Yi Xin is known for! Spicy, savoury, and sour broth filled with rice noodles, fried soy fish, fried tofu puffs, fried seaweed, shredded cucumber, and lettuce. Pretty good and on par with authentic Penang assam laksa! Personally would have preferred not to have the fried seaweed chips or to have it served on the side instead, as it got soggy very fast in the soup. But then again, perhaps the fried seaweed helped to introduce some 'seafood' flavour to the dish! (Allium-free, $6) #sgvegan #organic
