I didn't get the whipped cream and the raspberry so I don't know how much it changes the plate but the waffles, ice cream and maple syrup tastes incredible. I loved those waffles and the vanilla ice cream from Dappa was great. I wanted to try an ice cream from Dappa and I was not disappointed. Very good desert even though I would have loved to taste the "real" version of it.

During my trip to Unity Diner, I ordered the ice cream waffles with plant-based bacon and chicken for dessert as it was something I had always wanted to try. I don’t think the combination of bacon/chicken with the waffles was for me but separately I did really enjoy the components of this dessert. The chicken was soft and crispy with a lovely flavour but I think I would’ve preferred it on a burger or salad. The waffles were warm with crispy edges and a soft centre, the caramel sauce was tasty and plentiful and the ice cream was creamy in taste and texture. I wish there had been more ice cream as there was only one scoop and I felt like that would have helped to balance out the sweetness of the sauce.
