vegan kapsalon

Kapsalon è un piatto tipico (inventato nel 2003): strato dipatatine fritte e sopra doner ,formaggio lattuga salsa varie. Buono! Il doner era credo seitan, molto buono, il posto ha tantisssime cose veg tra cui un banco rosticceria con un sacco di verdure buonissime e altre cose turche. Passeggiando per Amsterdam dopo aver mangiato qui vedevo un sacco di vetrine con la scritta “kapsalon” ed erano parrucchieri, quindi non capivo e pensavo di ricordarmi male il nome del piatto… invece ho scoperto che kapsalon si chiama così proprio perché l’ha inventato un parrucchiere 🙃

When my friend and I first got to Amsterdam, we happened to stop by Helin's Vegan Döner, and without knowing what we were getting ourselves into, we ordered a vegan kapsalon to share. All week, despite being in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, all we could talk about was this vegan kapsalon. Kapsalon is a multiculturally inspired Dutch food that combines French fries with Dutch toppings, such as meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, garlic sauce, and more. Helin's Döner offers a vegan version that I can only assume surpasses the 'original'. Today, on our last day here, we returned to Helin's Döner, this time ordering a vegan kapsalon for each of us (while the other food we tried here was also delicious, it was the vegan kapsalon that stole our hearts, by capturing our taste buds).
