When my friend and I first got to Amsterdam, we happened to stop by Helin's Vegan Döner, and without knowing what we were getting ourselves into, we ordered a vegan kapsalon to share.

All week, despite being in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, all we could talk about was this vegan kapsalon. Kapsalon is a multiculturally inspired Dutch food that combines French fries with Dutch toppings, such as meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, garlic sauce, and more. Helin's Döner offers a vegan version that I can only assume surpasses the 'original'.

Today, on our last day here, we returned to Helin's Döner, this time ordering a vegan kapsalon for each of us (while the other food we tried here was also delicious, it was the vegan kapsalon that stole our hearts, by capturing our taste buds).
