This was a delightful surprise! When I ordered this I envisioned some kind of red, spicy, watery clear soup with a few bits of peppercorns in it, but what came out was a ruddy brown, hot, thick, spicy soup loaded with slices of shiitake mushrooms, tofu, onion, and vegan meat. It was thick in a gelatinous way which can take some getting used to if you’ve only ever eaten watery clear soups. Absolutely delicious and somewhat filling!
