These fried #eggplant sticks were soooo good! They were so light and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

As the menu reads "eggplant with honey" under the vegetarian section, we were wary about it so our first server confirmed that everything we ordered was vegan, and that the honey was palm honey as is usual for this dish. The sweetness of the palm honey was a wonderful contrast to the bitterness of the eggplant. Our only suggestion would be to serve more of the palm honey in the side bowl. We split this between two along with two other dishes and were totally satisfied.

The surroundings are beautiful, with a seaside walk with interesting things to see including natural pools and lava formations! This is a seaside chiringuito that has some chillout areas to enjoy. The service requires some patience, especially upon arrival.

veganadam Great photos. I would have just thought miel meant honey from 🐝 😊6 likesReply
danielgl Thanks, Adam! Exactly right about the word miel. In this eggplant dish it is usually palm honey (at least in the Canary Islands) and in my experience is described as such. so I am glad we double-checked!

I recommend trying palm honey if you get the chance, it has a unique taste and is made artisanally on La Palma island. Pricey, but very worth it. 😊5 likesReply
troosti They found that whale dead on that same shore and they decided to put its skeleton there, it is enormous. I have seen that beach bar, it is very beautiful. I'm glad you liked it5 likesReply
danielgl The skeleton is enormous!! Much larger than the ones here. I hope you get to try this chiringuito, the food was delicious. Thanks again for recommending that we visit the seaside of Los Silos 🥰.4 likesReply
