danielgl Thanks, Adam! Exactly right about the word miel. In this eggplant dish it is usually palm honey (at least in the Canary Islands) and in my experience is described as such. so I am glad we double-checked!

I recommend trying palm honey if you get the chance, it has a unique taste and is made artisanally on La Palma island. Pricey, but very worth it. 😊2 likesReply
