A Slice of Heaven w/ Cashew Cheese at High Mountain Pies — Vikas Garg's Review (Jan 15, 2024)

Finally met the owner of High Mountain Pies in Leadville, Colorado. Vicky and her husband started this neighborhood pizza spot at 10,200 feet 20 years ago and it’s been feeding the entire town ever since. And she made a point of sharing that she only uses the best ingredients and so when it came to finally adding vegan cheese to the menu she went with Miyoko's Creamery liquid cashew mozzarella.

The veggies on this were absolutely incredible! Artichokes, red onions, pepperoncino and garlic over their house red sauce and vegan cashew cheese. The trick with the Miyoko’s cheese is spreading it really thin to get the best results and HMP does that perfectly!

If you’re anywhere in Colorado I highly recommend making the trip to High Mountain Pies. Their custom vegan pies are awesome! I made up the name of this one 🌞
