Cultured Foods

The first time @colphax and I made it we tried scrambling it because I wanted a scramble and the package said to just use it like eggs. That didn’t go well. It was all goopy and sticky and does not really scramble. I managed to flatten it out and get it crispy so it wasn’t a gunk. So, if you get this, always use it for omelettes. Since the first time we made it, we just pour it into a hot well oiled nonstick pan, tip the pan to spread it out, let it cook on one side, then flip it. We essentially treat it like a crepe, and it is very enjoyable when cooked this way. It had a nice eggy flavor that is not too overwhelming. We got a lot out of the bag, overall we had roughly 6 meals for each of us from just one bag. So, as far as vegan eggs go, the value was pretty good. It was in a plastic bag which is unfortunate, hence the 3 stars on presentation. I would also recommend they change the packaging to be more clear about how to cook it for the most enjoyment. Stating simply to use it however you use eggs led us to try making it in a way that did not work. Overall would recommend. We live in Canada and bought it when we were in Lisbon, so I don’t know where all it is available.
