Everything about this hummingbird cake is PHENOMENAL! 😍 From the delicious cream cheese frosting, to the pumpkin seeds and cranberries sprinkled on top, to the crushed pineapple in the lovely sponge - you cannot go wrong! 🍰
If you enjoyed the spiced coconut teacake (which I just realised I haven’t seen in a while, has it been discontinued? 🤔) YOU WILL LOVE THIS! The sponge is definitely very similar, but I think the frosting on this cake is 10x better. Both cakes have a very similar vibe.
I absolutely get why this was voted the Fairlady Test House Best Buy of 2022!
It is R209, so it’s not necessarily the most affordable thing one would have on a grocery list 😬 but I do think it is well worth it. I will be saving up to buy this again soon.
