Review of Mushroom Knife-Cut Noodles Stir-Fry at Lilac Oak by xinru-t
First time trying noodles made using Chinese yam shan yao, which has lots of herbal properties in TCM! (Heard that this dish was in fact inspired by the owner/chef's confinement meals!) The soft and smooth noodles were stir-fried with juicy oyster mushrooms, along with grated carrots, bok choy, and sliced tempeh in a special sauce with a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Really flavourful and with a generous amount of ingredients, but without the grease that I usually associate with Chinese-style dishes. Highly recommend! ($14.90)
