Review of Buddha Bowl - Tattooed Chef by tamiapple
While Tattooed Chef’s Buddha Bowl is full of good things like sweet potato, chili coated chickpeas, riced cauliflower & tahini, I found it to have a pronounced bitter aftertaste. While I won’t repurchase this item, I look forward to trying other offerings from this new-ish vegan food brand. #veganisnotscary

kerent10 Too bad for this specific offering… sounds like it has a high potential to be excellent. Maybe this bitter aftertaste is from the tahini? Maybe add a bit of freshly squeezed lemon?2 likesReply
tamiapple Agreed - definitely has potential - the ingredient list is pretty great, it’s convenient/being sold at a major retailer & it’s a fully vegan line. I was wondering if tahini might be the culprit. (I love tahini & I’ve never experienced this sort of bitterness while eating anything containing it, though.) Maybe adding tahini to a frozen meal that will be microwaved later isn’t a good idea? Either way, there is room for improvement. 🙂4 likesReply
