Review of Waffles with Matcha Gelato at Hvala Keong Saik by xinru-t

The vaffles with a scoop of oatmilk / matcha °1 gelato cost $11.80. I was really impressed by the waffles which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The fragrant waffles went well with the maple syrup drizzle and genmai toasted rice puffs. The matcha °1 light intensity gelato was just as creamy and indulgent in texture as normal gelato. However, I wished the matcha flavour could have been more prominent, as it only had a mild matcha aroma and was a tad too sweet for my liking. Alternatively, you can change the gelato flavour at an additional cost of $1, from a selection of 12 vegan options at the Keong Saik outlet.
