🍲 Have not had a Bakso or beef ball soup for a good 9 years & am so excited to see this vegan version on the menu
🍲 Warning! The meat ball looks & tastes like meat! The soup tastes like bakso soup with the same oily bone broth from my memory
🍲 The use of Indonesian spices is just like the sinful streeside stall & then the classy restaurants remakes in Jakarta I used to eat from.
🍲 The meatball is made from Impossible minced meat so it is entirely vegan. One bowl of soup comes with 3 large soft balls with tofu & veggies
🍲 The restaurant did such a great job creating this vegan version. So folks who are after the real bakso will really enjoy this.
🍲 For me, it is so real that I am no longer used to the look, feel, bite and taste of meat.
🍲 Will I still eat mockmeat? I think I will still try. But I wont be ordering this Bakso soup anymore as it is too real. So sorry that is why I give it a lower star rating instead of 5 stars.
