Yua does miso justice! Brewed to perfection, this version has only seaweed and enoki mushroom. It’s $3 a bowl and it is good enough to enjoy two bowls in one sitting. Refreshingly vegan by default! #victoriabc

Not my favourite oshi. This version is one dimensional and the main note is sour. I used all the ginger for this to juje it up. I prefer Vegan Shoku’s salmon oshi or the aburi lox from Mila in Vancouver. I think Yuka can do better. #victoriabc #sushi

A well labeled vegan appetizer that often isn’t vegan due to both dashi and bonito flakes but I prefer the original iteration over this kung pal sauce, which tastes store bought. #agedashitofu #victoriabc

Wow!! This is the first box I have had that is vegan, and it did not disappoint. If you are craving Japanese cuisine, you must try this Oju Box from Yua!!! Not picture is the miso soup and the daily dessert (ours was a small cup of seasonal fruit). The teriyaki tempeh was the best tempeh I have ever had…. I cannot recommend this enough.

I love this tray! Definitely a serving for 2 people. They don’t use any substitutes in any of the rolls, just plants and tofu! The tray is so creative and well presented. The only cons are that it didn’t come with wasabi and ginger, and the smaller maki rolls get a bit boring since there’s so much of them.

In order to make this vegan, we just had to omit the crab. Really nice presentation like everything else from here. Also much better tasting that sunamonos that I’m used to having- it’s elevated.
