The Sweet Hereafter is an all vegan bar in SE Portland and owned by the same owners of The Bye & Bye— an all vegan bar in NE Portland. Aside from offering delicious savory dishes & a plethora of cocktails, they also offer dreamy vegan slices of cake by Dream Cakes. The flavors change regularly and the cake they were offering during my visit was Confetti Cake with Orange frosting. 🍊 This cake was yummy with vanilla and orange flavors, and it paired perfectly with my Passionfruit CBD soda! A fruity & scrumptious moment, minus the fruit.😂 This is a great place to come for dessert if you’re jones’ing some cake or celebrating a bday. Sweet Hereafter has some great dishes but this one misses the mark. Sloppily thrown together soggy tofu and broccoli over clumpy brown rice with a peanut sauce that is over salted but frustratingly has no other flavor profiles besides peanut and salt. Skip this and get another dish, there are lots of good ones here!

Lovely! The pretzels are soft, warm, and fresh. The ‘cheese’ dip has a wonderful cheesy, creamy umami flavor and the addition of miso gives it a nice earthy sweetness. The mustard is a nice flavor contrast.
