This cream of vegetables soup was our least favorite of the meal. It was based on #squash and #carrot but was a bit watery and lacked a defining flavor. The housemade #croutons helped thicken it up a bit and added some texture. In any case it is one of three vegan options offered, and reasonably priced at 5,90€ for a hearty bowl. Reservations are recommended at this bustling, friendly (and tiny!) eatery. This Canarian dish of #papasarrugadas ("wrinkled" potatoes) is a staple in most restaurants and a savior for visiting vegans! These little #newpotaotes were boiled to perfection, with a delicate salt crust over the skin. They are traditionally served with #mojopicon (smoky, red pepper based) and #mojoverde (green, cilantro based) for dipping. The sauces were good but not the best I have had. There are a few other vegan options on the menu, we ordered this to make sure we filled out the meal. Reservations are recommended at this bustling, friendly (and tiny!) eatery. Wow, this was the most original #couscous I think I have ever had! The finely chopped veggies in this dish included #redpepper, #eggplant, #onion and #greenpeppers, but the couscous was then drenched in a mixture of soy sauce and #palmhoney from neighboring La Palma island. The salty-sweet mixture was genious, and the garnish of #sprouts added a refreshing crunch. The hubby shared this and it filled us very capably! Fairly priced at 10,50€.
