This is like a traditional grilled cheese that I make at home, just a single slice of cheese, super-crisp toast by pressing it down in the frying pan. They claim that everything on their menu is vegan, except for some of their macarons, but just double-check with anything you order here, because they have a shelf of food items that you can purchase, including loafs of bread that look just like the ones on our sandwich, and are not vegan. When we questioned it, the manager assured us that our sandwich was vegan and was kind enough to bring out the package of bread that’s used for the grilled cheese, clearly labeled as vegan. This is a cute little place, a nice selection of menu items, and near some favorite tourist (and locals) locations.
