Tteokbokki (Spicy Stir Fry Rice Cake)

$7.50 for #alliumfree, mildly spiced #korean #tteokbokki with an occasional spurt of sweet tang between chews. Soft, starchy #carbsforlife #rice cakey and #seaweedy. Could use more strips though for something that easily conjurable at home

I've never liked rice cakes (just seems like a chewy block of nothingness to me) but ordered this anyway since it's a quintessential Korean dish. (Allium-free, $7) Added a bit of fish cake (+$2.50) which my non-veg family liked more than the rice cakes. Personally prefer the lightly grilled Tteokkochi and larger platter of Odeng Bokkeum! #sgkoreanfood #socialenterprise

Generally a typical dish that can’t go wrong. I have never ate actual traditional Korean rice cake before but this is really chewy and thick

I love rice cake!! This was more on the sweet side but I like it still! The rice cake were cooked really well! Soft and chewy without being too hard! Yum!!😋

Apart from the veg pancake, this has to be my favourite dish! Very swollen and chewy rice cakes drenched in a sweet sauce
