For Mother's Day, we thought it’d be fun to whip up some Eggs Benedict, and it gave us a perfect excuse to try out these Wunder eggs. I never considered buying them before since I was never a huge fan of hard-boiled eggs, but I’m glad I did! The eggs benedict turned out great, and even though the yolk wasn't runny, it still worked really well. It's kind of wild how much it tasted like egg, especially the white part. The "eggs" are ready to eat right out of the package, and they also came with a little pack of black salt that you could sprinkle on top for that sulfury/eggy taste which was a nice addition. I'd probably give it another shot in a meal, but probably wouldn’t munch on it solo— but that's just my preference. #veganisnotscary #veganegg #eggsbenedict #govegan #veganfortheanimals #wunderegg


The texture and flavor of these are truly incredible. The first time my sister served me one, my mind was blown! 🤯 #veganegg I love that the company’s About Us page talks about the atrocities of the egg industry, including the massive amount of resources used, impact on health, and cruelty inflicted on the animals. For instance, I often see figures on the number of animals killed for food, but had no idea 6 BILLION male chicks are culled every year! 😢🐣 Because these are quite costly, I haven’t tried them in a recipe yet, in my attempt to take full advantage of enjoying them as is—but I hear good things, so maybe next time! 🤤




These are magical! Oddly, I didn't really like eggs before going vegan EXCEPT for hard boiled eggs. I think there was something about the powdery texture of the yolk that I actually enjoyed. Hard boiled eggs kind of seems like one of the last frontiers for vegan alternatives. Wunder Egg definitely is paving the way. These are really delicious. The texture of the white and yolk are distinct which is perfect. This pack of three eggs (six halves) comes with a black salt packet to give it that good sulfuric eggy flavor. I really enjoyed these plain, but they were really spectacular in a potato salad. I used this recipe but used these eggs instead of tofu: https://www.noracooks.com/vegan-potato-salad/#wprm-recipe-container-13724 I've only seen these at Whole Foods so far and they're quite expensive at around $8.99. The plastic tray they come in is also not great. I remember when Beyond burgers first came out they came in very wasteful trays, but they've figured out how to do without them now.
