Very chewy and crunchy (a bit too much for my liking). Left some overnight in
the fridge and it was slightly softer the next day, which I preferred. This resembled Chick’n bites with curry spice more than it did fish. Quite oily (airfryed, so no oil added). Added lemon juice and vegan-friendly fish spice. Although I didn’t try this with the recommended 1000 island sauce and coleslaw, I do think that is a great serving suggestion.
Not sure if I would buy it again, but give it a try!

I think there’s definitely a gap in the market as far as vegan fish is
concerned in South Africa. The Vegan Chef has created this version which comes frozen and is easy to prepare. Looks great! Texture is perhaps firmer than fish. My only criticism is that it didn’t taste particularly fishy. It didn’t really taste of anything much, except the batter #veganisnotscary
