Zero Maida Bread 100% Whole Wheat

Reviews by abillion’s vegan community

When vegan-by-mistake products change up their ingredients, I always get nervous because more often than not they add dairy. 😡 Thankfully, this isn’t the case with my favourite whole wheat bread!!! *phew* Cultured sweet potato sounded super intriguing. The formula change hasn’t resulted in much of a taste or texture change. It’s just as soft and moist as before. Toasts up well too. I had it with my stash of thokkus and pickles first. But yesterday I did something different. I had a bit of leftover sambar from Sunday’s brunch, so toasted up the bread, broke it into rough squares and poured sambar all over it. Yum! 🤤 #veganbengaluru #bangalorevegan #wholewheatbread #toast

This is the only commercially made whole wheat bread I like! While all the others get dry or chewy, this one has a good texture that keeps it feeling fresh. They’ve done a good job of keeping the texture soft and fluffy without adding dough conditioners and other unpronounceable ingredients. The price, at INR 65, is only a tiny bit more than other packaged breads and it’s totally worth it. I usually order this 350g loaf on Swiggy Instamart. They usually have a fresh stock and sell it at a couple of bucks off. Made three types of toast this time: garlic-maple-pepper, crunchy burnt garlic-chilli flakes, sambar powder. Added salt and EVOO to all of them. #breakfast #vegantoast #breadlover
