I found the daily craves salted caramel beyond churros at a discount store that we have here locally and they were 2.99 thought I’d try them glad I did. They were really tasty a nice little snack. When I first opened the package thought I will be disappointed. But after 1 then 2 pieces of it.. It grows on me.. a very interesting sweet and salty mix. Actually nothing much like Churros but strangely good to munch on. Got it from Shoppee supermarket. Pricey for this bag but am curious to try when I see the word Vegan unexpectedly. 🤓
The combination of salted caramel and savoury ingredients like lentils and cassava makes for an intriguing and not at all unpleasant flavour profile. The crunch is soft with a slightly aerated feel. There’s a nice little swirl of chocolate nestled within which isn’t overwhelmingly creamy. It didn’t really taste like churros though, only a little visual resemblance. Perhaps the cinnamon flavour would come closer. But overall, a satisfying biscuit.
