This might be my favorite pasta shape from Trader Joe's. I love exploring the new shapes they have almost every time I go. These tight curls are really great for holding sauce. And since they are such dense spirals, each bite of pasta is really satisfying. I made my avocado cilantro lime pasta salad with it for a family Christmas this weekend. I've also had it with truffle red sauce and really enjoyed that. Decent pasta. I like the shape and it’s organic. Not my favorite pasta texturally for sure but it’s not bad. I used it for chili mac last night and it worked well for that. With marinara, I like something that cooks a little more al dente.
Fun little pasta. I used in a soup that needed a heartier noodle. Great taste and texture.
