Tortilla Pockets

I followed a Mexican style jackfruit recipe which was meant to pair with tacos, but spotted these tortilla pockets while browsing and thought they’d be perfect. Yes indeed they were! Light, in the background taste, ideal for housing your favourite herbed or spiced up fillings. I really liked the practicality of the #pocket design so you contain the filling easily without having to fold the bread over which can mean the ratio of bread to contents is knocked askew. We had salsa and guacamole layers as well as jackfruit and the tortilla pocket held it all very nicely. They are #preservativefree and simple to heat in the oven or microwave. Cardboard sleeve and plastic tray are recyclable but not the cellophane lid. We need the packaging designers to solve this. 🙏 #mexicanvegan #jackfruit #homecooking #veganfortheanimals

This makes wraps and tacos fun! Easy to stuff and less messy than traditional tortillas. You can stuff it weird your fav taco fixings, chopped salad, hummus & falafel, or your favorite sandwich fillings.

Just a nice little wrap pocket but I much prefer to make my own put of a big Tortilla.. Great for kids I guess

Not sold on these. Picked them up on special at Coles the other week. No mess! Sounds good. But since they’re a pocket it’s hard to get the filling evenly through it, I ended up with all the plain rice settling on the bottom while the veggies and beans were on top. They’re also just way too small for my liking, not very practical or filling. Plus a couple of them had a split down the side as soon as I got them out of the packet, so it was hard to keep the fillings in.
