I used these Italian sausages in a breakfast casserole. I didn't get much sense for

the Italian seasoning. These tasted great and had the correct texture you except from sausage.

Ingredients

8.3 oz Sausage links, thawed
3-4 Vegan Friendly, day old croissants
1-2 cups of cherry tomatoes
1-2 cups of vegan shredded mozzarella
Salt and pepper
2-12oz containers of just egg
Vegetable oil
8x8 square pan

Directions

Pre heat oven to 375
Heat a large non stick pan to medium heat
Add in a little oil
Pinch off pieces of your thawed sausages
Cook until browned
Oil your pan
Tear apart your croissants and place into pan
Add your tomatoes and sausage
Sprinkle in your cheese
Season generously with salt and pepper
Pour your just egg into
Pour enough to cover bread
Bake in preheated oven for 1 hr, until egg is set (check after 45 minutes)
Remove and let cool for 5 minutes
Cut & serve

The flavor isn’t half bad, but I don’t love the texture. For some reason, I

felt kind of grossed out just pulling the #sausage from the packaging, a sensation which persisted throughout the whole experience. They have this super rubbery constitution that reminds me of an ultra-processed hot dog — everything just a little too smooth, compact, and unvaried. They have a nice, vaguely #italian flavor (from fennel seed?) that works in a variety of dishes, but they’re a bit on the salty side. As the packaging suggests, these sausages are pretty easy to overcook, so you need to keep a close eye on them! I enjoyed them in this hearty dish of beans simmered with crushed tomato and herbs. Because of my issues with the texture, this is the sort of thing which I might repurchase infrequently, for use in specific recipes only.

I really like the taste of ease but not the texture. I found that if

I crumble or slice it and brown it with a lot of oil, peppers, and onions, it tastes much better and make great fajitas. they are filling. #veganfortheanimals
