The flavor isn’t half bad, but I don’t love the texture. For some reason, I felt kind of grossed out just pulling the #sausage from the packaging, a sensation which persisted throughout the whole experience. They have this super rubbery constitution that reminds me of an ultra-processed hot dog — everything just a little too smooth, compact, and unvaried. They have a nice, vaguely #italian flavor (from fennel seed?) that works in a variety of dishes, but they’re a bit on the salty side. As the packaging suggests, these sausages are pretty easy to overcook, so you need to keep a close eye on them! I enjoyed them in this hearty dish of beans simmered with crushed tomato and herbs. Because of my issues with the texture, this is the sort of thing which I might repurchase infrequently, for use in specific recipes only.
