The first time I had Casarecce was a couple of years ago at Jardin in Madison. It was served as Lobster Casarecce with a thin cream sauce, lobster mushrooms, lions mane, sundried tomatoes, and blistered sage. I was saving this pack to make something similar, but then I decided on one of my favorite recipes, spicy sundried tomato sauce. It's still creamy so I think it worked well with this pasta shape! Casarecce feels like a more elevated macaroni to me. The name "casarecce" literally means homemade! It was originally made in Sicily by rolling small rectangles of dough around a ferro (a thin wooden or metal rod). This pasta has curled edges and a grove down the middle, making it a great sauce holder. This is the recipe I use for sauce: https://richflavour.com/vegan-creamy-spicy-sun-dried-tomato-pasta/ #pasta #italian #noodles #veganrecipes #sundriedtomatoes #vegancooking #pastasauce #costco #tomatolover #organic
